This artwork by Nguyen Trung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Lady with Lotus sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,006.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nguyen Trung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ladies in the Peach Garden sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Lady with Lotus für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.006,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ladies in the Peach Garden im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75).
