This artwork by Nguyen Khang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Danseuse (Dancer) sold for HKD 775,000.00 (€ 88,217.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 290,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nguyen Khang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nguyen Khang | Fish sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 157,222.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Khang erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Danseuse (Dancer) für HKD 775.000,00 (€ 88.217,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 290.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nguyen Khang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Nguyen Khang | Fish im Juli letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 157.222,11).
