Auction result well in line with expectations
The work “Up with your hands or we’ll make this a shambles, now that we’ve started” by Newell Convers Wyeth was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 427,500.00 (€ 380,473.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Newell Convers Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hands Up!" in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 4,951,500.00 (€ 4,680,941.58).

Die Arbeit “Up with your hands or we’ll make this a shambles, now that we’ve started” von Newell Convers Wyeth kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 427.500,00 (€ 380.473,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Newell Convers Wyeth erzielen.
