In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Fly With Me To Another World by Navin Rawanchaikul. The result of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,721.43) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Navin Rawanchaikul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work There Is No Voice #6 in March 2016 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,463.13).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fly With Me To Another World von Navin Rawanchaikul zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.721,43) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Navin Rawanchaikul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit There Is No Voice #6 im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.463,13).
