This artwork by Nathanial Hone the Younger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2010. In the Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes auction, the work Unknown sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,344.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathanial Hone the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Captain the Hon. Robert Boyle Walsingham, M.P. (1736-1780), full-length, in naval uniform, with a view of Louisbourg, Canada, beyond in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 245,750.00 (€ 394,338.12).
Robert Boyle Walsingham, M.P. (1736-1780), full-length, in naval uniform, with a view of Louisbourg, Canada, beyond im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.750,00 (€ 394.338,12).
