Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hastings by Nathanial Hone the Younger was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,098.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathanial Hone the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Captain the Hon. Robert Boyle Walsingham, M.P. (1736-1780), full-length, in naval uniform, with a view of Louisbourg, Canada, beyond in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 245,750.00 (€ 394,338.12).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.098,10) einen neuen Besitzer.
