Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of George Gostling, half-length, a drawing of the Madonna and Child in his right hand by Nathanial Hone the Younger was sold in the Old Master & British Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,528.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathanial Hone the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Captain the Hon. Robert Boyle Walsingham, M.P. (1736-1780), full-length, in naval uniform, with a view of Louisbourg, Canada, beyond in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 245,750.00 (€ 394,338.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of George Gostling, half-length, a drawing of the Madonna and Child in his right hand von Nathanial Hone the Younger wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & British Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Robert Boyle Walsingham, M.P. (1736-1780), full-length, in naval uniform, with a view of Louisbourg, Canada, beyond im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.750,00 (€ 394.338,12).
