Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nathan Mabry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2021. In the Reborn: Modern and Contemporary auction, the work It Is What Is (The Old In And Out) sold for EUR 10,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nathan Mabry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It Is What It Is (Tongue in Cheek), which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 25,736.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nathan Mabry erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Reborn: Modern and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit It Is What Is (The Old In And Out) für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nathan Mabry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It Is What It Is (Tongue in Cheek) beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 25.736,46) versteigert wurde.
