The work Playing Fields by Nataraj Sharma was sold in the A Pioneering Vision: Works from the Collection of Shumita and Arani Bose auction at Christies in New York in September 2014. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,969.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nataraj Sharma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Aegean in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 47,085.25).
