In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Playground 4 by Nataraj Sharma. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,116.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nataraj Sharma have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Aegean in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 47,085.25).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Playground 4 von Nataraj Sharma zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.116,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nataraj Sharma auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Aegean im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 47.085,25).
