Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Nasrollah Afjehei was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,782.50). Admittedly, works by Nasrollah Afjehei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 218,500.00 (€ 147,425.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nasrollah Afjehei im April 2013 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.782,50) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nasrollah Afjehei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 147.425,95).
