Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nasreen Mohamedi was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,262.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nasreen Mohamedi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 437,500.00 (€ 396,681.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nasreen Mohamedi wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.262,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nasreen Mohamedi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 437.500,00 (€ 396.681,48).
