This artwork by Nasreen Mohamedi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March last year. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Untitled (Bombay Landscape) sold for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,950.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nasreen Mohamedi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 437,500.00 (€ 396,681.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nasreen Mohamedi erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Bombay Landscape) für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.950,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nasreen Mohamedi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 437.500,00 (€ 396.681,48).
