Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Sothebys in Mumbai held the auction Boundless: India, which included this untitled work by Nasreen Mohamedi. The »bidding war« ended at INR 4,750,000.00 (€ 59,919.23), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nasreen Mohamedi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 437,500.00 (€ 396,681.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Mumbai die Auktion Boundless: India durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nasreen Mohamedi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von INR 4.750.000,00 (€ 59.919,23) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nasreen Mohamedi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 437.500,00 (€ 396.681,48).
