Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nancy Grossman could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Open House auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,522.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Grossman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbus in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 182,629.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nancy Grossman konnte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Open House wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.522,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Grossman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbus im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 182.629,87).
