Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Nam Kwan was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2003. It achieved a price of USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,155.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Nam Kwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 129,472.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nam Kwan kam im März 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 14.340,00 (€ 13.155,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nam Kwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 129.472,73).
