Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Café By The Kinnereth (Cafe In Tiberias) by Nahum Gutman. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 42,658.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nahum Gutman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tiberias Landscape in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 218,226.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Café By The Kinnereth (Cafe In Tiberias) von Nahum Gutman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 42.658,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nahum Gutman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tiberias Landscape im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 218.226,26).
