Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicholas Freese - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A young officer of a light company, in red uniform with yellow facings, silver epaulettes, black stock and frilled white cravat, black shoulder belt with gilt belt plate, powdered hair; sky background, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 11,815.77).
