In October 2017 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Reclining nude) by Munira Al-Kazi. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,102.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Munira Al-Kazi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blue Moonlight Procession in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,101.78).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining nude) von Munira Al-Kazi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.102,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Munira Al-Kazi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blue Moonlight Procession im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.101,78).
