This artwork by Munira Al-Kazi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the 20th Century Art/ Middle East auction, the work Kuwaiti couple In A Garden sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,234.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Munira Al-Kazi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Moonlight Procession, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,101.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Munira Al-Kazi erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East wurde die Arbeit Kuwaiti couple In A Garden für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.234,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Munira Al-Kazi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Moonlight Procession beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.101,78) versteigert wurde.
