Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Bonhams in London held the auction Sketches from Baghdad, which included the work Figure by Munira Al-Kazi. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,295.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Munira Al-Kazi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Moonlight Procession in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,101.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Sketches from Baghdad durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure von Munira Al-Kazi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.295,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Munira Al-Kazi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Moonlight Procession im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.101,78).
