Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Siva Parvati In Cloud-Land by Mukul Dey. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,042.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mukul Dey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Dancers; Musicians) in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,605.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Siva Parvati In Cloud-Land von Mukul Dey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.042,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mukul Dey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Dancers; Musicians) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.605,55).
