Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mudassar Manzoor could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,449.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mudassar Manzoor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,004.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mudassar Manzoor konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.449,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mudassar Manzoor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.004,16) versteigert wurde.
