Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Moshekwa Langa could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection auction, the work Reconstruction (Multiple Marriages): A Diptych changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,852.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Moshekwa Langa have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2017 by the work Landscape I at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55).
