Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Difficulty Of Conscience by Moshekwa Langa was sold in the Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,313.00 (€ 4,145.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moshekwa Langa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape I, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55).

Die Arbeit A Difficulty Of Conscience von Moshekwa Langa wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.313,00 (€ 4.145,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
