This work of art by Moses Soyer could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Portrait Of Jean Shattuck changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,647.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moses Soyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Costume Makers in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 40,625.00 (€ 31,600.03).
