Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Moses Soyer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in August last year. In the American Art auction, the work Ballet Class sold for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,967.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Moses Soyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Costume Makers in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 40,625.00 (€ 31,600.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Moses Soyer erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Ballet Class für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.967,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moses Soyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Costume Makers im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 31.600,03).
