Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Para IV by Morris Louis was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,252,500.00 (€ 2,872,471.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Morris Louis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November last year the work Floral V was auctioned for USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).

Die Arbeit Para IV von Morris Louis kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.252.500,00 (€ 2.872.471,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
