In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Alpha Beta by Morris Louis. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,815,000.00 (€ 1,647,154.91), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Morris Louis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Floral V, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 5,580,000.00 (€ 5,405,405.41).

Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alpha Beta von Morris Louis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.815.000,00 (€ 1.647.154,91) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Morris Louis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Floral V beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 5.580.000,00 (€ 5.405.405,41) versteigert wurde.
