Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Flower by Morris Cole Graves. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,505.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Morris Cole Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shore Birds in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 408,500.00 (€ 350,042.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower von Morris Cole Graves zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.505,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Morris Cole Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shore Birds im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 408.500,00 (€ 350.042,84).
