In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1825 sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,125.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Moritz Michael Daffinger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A highly important miniature of Countess Elisaveta Ksaver'evna Vorontsova (1792-1880), leaning on her left elbow resting on multi-coloured cashemere stoles, her hand raised to her face, in brown dress with lace underdress and lace sleeves, jewelled s in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00 (
