Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Circa 1820 by Moritz Michael Daffinger for GBP 875.00 (€ 960.69). This price was achieved in the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moritz Michael Daffinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A highly important miniature of Countess Elisaveta Ksaver'evna Vorontsova (1792-1880), leaning on her left elbow resting on multi-coloured cashemere stoles, her hand raised to her face, in brown dress with lace underdress and lace sleeves, jewelled s in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A highly important miniature of Countess Elisaveta Ksaver'evna Vorontsova (1792-1880), leaning on her left elbow resting on multi-coloured cashemere stoles, her hand raised to her face, in brown dress with lace underdress and lace sleeves, jewelled s im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 71.087,56).
