The work "Set in Stone" by Mona Hatoum was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 38,000.00 (€ 3,736.82), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mona Hatoum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silence in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 470,500.00 (€ 349,736.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Set in Stone" von Mona Hatoum wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 38.000,00 (€ 3.736,82) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mona Hatoum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silence im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 470.500,00 (€ 349.736,12).
