Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Mogens Koch could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern art and design auction, the work Wall unit of solid teak, consisting of nine bookcases, showcase, two cabinets and ten plinths changed hands for DKK 32,000.00 (€ 4,291.90) - just shy of the DKK 40,000.00 estimate. Other works by Mogens Koch have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2019 by the work Pair of easy chairs and ottoman, from a private commission, Copenhagen at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,973.73).
