A top price for Mogens Koch - as previously expected
In November 2019 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work Pair of easy chairs and ottoman, from a private commission, Copenhagen by Mogens Koch. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,973.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pair of easy chairs and ottoman, from a private commission, Copenhagen is the most expensive artwork by Mogens Koch that we have observed at auctions so far.
