Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Wall unit of solid elm, consisting of three cabinets, five bookcases and four plinths by Mogens Koch was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 40,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 30,000.00 (€ 4,023.65). Other works by Mogens Koch have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2019 by the work Pair of easy chairs and ottoman, from a private commission, Copenhagen at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,973.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Wall unit of solid elm, consisting of three cabinets, five bookcases and four plinths von Mogens Koch im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 40.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 30.000,00 (€ 4.023,65) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Mogens Koch wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2019 die Arbeit Pair of easy chairs and ottoman, from a private commission, Copenhagen mit HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.973,73).
