The work Couplet In Seal Script by Mo Youzhi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,536.55), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mo Youzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 145,781.32).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script von Mo Youzhi wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.536,55) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mo Youzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 145.781,32).
