Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Mo Youzhi was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 360,000.00 (€ 44,920.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mo Youzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 145,781.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Mo Youzhi kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 360.000,00 (€ 44.920,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mo Youzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 145.781,32) versteigert wurde.
