Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mo Youzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,781.94) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mo Youzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 145,781.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mo Youzhi erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.781,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mo Youzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 145.781,32).
