It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,892.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Admittedly, works by Mo Youzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 145,781.32).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script von Mo Youzhi kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.892,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mo Youzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hexagram Of Modesty In Seal Script Calligraphy im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 145.781,32).
