Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Miwa Komatsu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction, the work Stairs of Twilight Time sold for HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 183,999.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Miwa Komatsu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 780,000.00 (€ 796,532.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Miwa Komatsu erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Stairs of Twilight Time für HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 183.999,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Miwa Komatsu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 780.000,00 (€ 796.532,61).
