Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Earth Birthing Qilin by Miwa Komatsu was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 203,200.00 (€ 23,844.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miwa Komatsu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 780,000.00 (€ 796,532.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Earth Birthing Qilin von Miwa Komatsu kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 203.200,00 (€ 23.844,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miwa Komatsu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 780.000,00 (€ 796.532,61).
