Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Making Her Mark: 20th/21st Century Women Artists, which included the work Dragon emerges from the void of daylight by Miwa Komatsu. The price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 167,271.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Miwa Komatsu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 780,000.00 (€ 796,532.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Making Her Mark: 20th/21st Century Women Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dragon emerges from the void of daylight von Miwa Komatsu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 167.271,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Miwa Komatsu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 780.000,00 (€ 796.532,61).
