Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Satoyama in Early Summer by Miwa Komatsu was worth HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,063.55) to a buyer in January last year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miwa Komatsu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 780,000.00 (€ 796,532.61).

Die Arbeit Satoyama in Early Summer von Miwa Komatsu war einem Käufer im Januar letzten Jahres HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.063,55) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale bei Christies erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miwa Komatsu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sounds Of Festival (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 780.000,00 (€ 796.532,61).
