Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February this year Phillips in an online auction held the auction The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection, which included the work Peeled Paint, Rochester, New York by Minor White. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,913.41), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Minor White have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Photographs From 'Sequence 15' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 44,812.50).
