Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figure by Mino Maccari was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mino Maccari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tre figure in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 10,412,500.00 (€ 9,852.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figure von Mino Maccari im Mai 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 700,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mino Maccari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tre figure im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 10.412.500,00 (€ 9.852,16).
