Minjung Kim (née en 1962) Sans titre signé, daté et avec le cachet de l’artiste ‘Kim 2005’ (en bas à droite) aquarelle et encre sur papier mulberry Hanji 151 x 214 cm. Réalisé en 2005. signed, dated and with the artist’s stamp ‘Kim 2005’ (lower right) watercolour and ink on mulberry Hanji paper 59 1 ⁄ 2 x 84 1 ⁄ 4 in. Executed in 2005.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Minjung Kim was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 44,100.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Minjung Kim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vuoto nel Pieno in November last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 183,086.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Minjung Kim kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 44.100,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Minjung Kim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vuoto nel Pieno im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 183.086,31).
