Auction result well in line with expectations
The work VILLA BY THE MOUNTAINS by Ming Jian was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,146.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ming Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes Inspired by Poems, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 21,073.30).

Die Arbeit VILLA BY THE MOUNTAINS von Ming Jian kam im März 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.146,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ming Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes Inspired by Poems beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 21.073,30) versteigert wurde.
