Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Windswept Hill by Millard Owen Sheets. The price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,967.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Millard Owen Sheets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Horses of The Camargue, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windswept Hill von Millard Owen Sheets zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.967,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48) versteigert wurde.
