Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Millard Owen Sheets could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art auction, the work Windmills in Portugal changed hands for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,670.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Millard Owen Sheets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Horses of The Camargue in April last year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 26,620.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Millard Owen Sheets konnte im August 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art wechselte die Arbeit Windmills in Portugal für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.670,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Millard Owen Sheets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Horses of The Camargue im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 26.620,48).
